Senior Vice President, Biotech Operating Unit, Technical Operations and Product Supply, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals
Dr. Kowolenko is the SVP of Technical Operations and Product Supply (TO+PS) for Wyeth Biotech where he is accountable for all strategic and tactical decisions affecting the manufacture of products within the BioPharma and Vaccines franchises. In this role he is responsible and accountable for providing strategic and operations leadership perspective to ongoing integrated and cross-functional global business decisions through overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the TO&PS Biotechnology Operating Unit. Further responsibilities include the development, implementation and maintenance of a global capacity and site network strategy for all seven global BioPharma and Vaccine products sites. Prior to joining Wyeth, Dr. Kowolenko spent several years at Biogen Idec in various leadership positions including Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical Operations & Technology. In this role he Responsible for Biogen Idec’s multi-site international Manufacturing Operations, Information Technology, Technical Development, Global Supply Chain, Global Engineering, Facilities and Utilities, and Global Quality groups. Dr. Kowolenko has an undergraduate degree in pharmacy, a masters degree in Pharmacology as well as a PhD in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Immunology from Northeastern University.
